Competitions
The Design & Pitch Challenges in STEM are meant to get students engaged in messy problems that they care about. One of the ways we do this is through district-wide competitions and virtual pitch competitions. Learn more about each of these types of events below. Wake County Competition
Calling all entrepreneurial student minds in WCPSS!!! Our second annual Design & Pitch Challenges in STEM Competition has been set for April 25, 2026. We can’t wait to see all of your fabulous ideas, we were blown the last two years! See below for the list of winners from years 1 and 2.

While we enjoy working with students in person, we love to interact with students from across the globe. As such, we occasionally offer virtual pitch competitions, which bring the thrill of the Design & Pitch Challenges to any computer in the world.
