Wolfpack Readers Tutoring Program

Wolfpack Readers

Wolfpack Readers is a tutoring program in which elementary-age children with reading difficulties receive systematic, evidence-based instruction in the foundational skills needed for literacy success. The Wolfpack Readers participate in 20-30 hours of intensive and engaging reading instruction based on their individual needs, provided by students in the College of Education at NC State. An overview of the instructional approach used in the program can be found here.

The next session of Wolfpack Readers for elementary-age children will begin enrolling in late November and start in January. An enrollment form will be available on this page at that time.

For the upcoming year, Wolfpack Readers is also piloting a program for middle school students. This program provides about 10 hours of intensive and engaging reading instruction for children in grades 6-8 who need support in word reading, fluency, and comprehension. You can find more information about the middle school program on this FAQ document. To inquire about enrolling for the fall session (tentative start date of mid September), complete this inquiry form.
