What Master Teaching Fellows Do

  • Complete an online graduate certificate program in mathematics teaching and learning or a master’s program during your first year
  • Attend a week-long summer professional development institute each year
  • Work collaboratively to apply for National Board Certification
  • Complete an online mentor training program
  • Attend and present at mathematics teaching conferences
  • Assume leadership roles in your school or district

What Master Teaching Fellows Receive

  • Salary stipend of $11,250 for either four or five years depending on education level provided by the project
  • Tuition for master’s degree if pursuing one during the program paid by the project
  • An additional planning period for the first year to complete certificate or degree requirements provided by your school district
  • Fees for National Board Certification paid by your school district
  • Tuition for mentoring course paid by the project
  • $200 per day to attend summer institute paid by your school district and lodging and travel costs paid by the grant.
  • $500 travel stipend for conferences during last two years provided by the project
  • iPad Mini and Swivl provided by the project to each teacher for recording classroom teaching
