My name is Lehyssa St Julien, and I am a Master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at North Carolina State University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in French from NC State University. I am originally from Haiti, which has been central in shaping my multicultural identity, and growing up in Mount Olive, North Carolina, further deepened my awareness of cultural context, community, and the importance of culturally responsive care.

I strive to create a supportive, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and heard. I take a person-centered approach and believe in meeting clients where they are while supporting them as they work toward their personal goals. My background includes working with college students through housing and leadership roles, which has strengthened my ability to build rapport, provide guidance, and support individuals during times of transition.

I am passionate about working with underserved and marginalized communities and bring a multicultural lens to my work as a trilingual counselor-in-training fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole. I am committed to walking alongside clients as they define what healing and success look like for them.

EDUCATION

Master’s Student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, North Carolina State University

B.A. in Psychology, Minor in French, North Carolina State University

A Few of My Favorites:

Hobbies: I love running, watching shows, especially K-dramas, I love long drives, and I also love reading and spending time with family and friends

Please Click Here To Schedule An Appointment

KIMBERLY BYRD (she/her): MASTER’S COUNSELING INTERN Kimberly is a Master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at North Carolina State University.
